Ive had a nice clear out of my gallery, i had so much shit on there i didnt realise about. So now everythings nice and clean, apart from the gallery icons that still wont change, so hopefully that bug will be fixed soon.

Recently got back from Bristol, went up with the Wight Trash team, doing some skate photography. Was an awesome experience, when ive finished playing about with the photos il be sure to submit them.

Only downside was that throughout a part of the trip, my built-in flash kept going off when it was closed which was really weird =/ it also caused the plastic to burn a little so now ive got to clean the inside of the 'housing' somehow. It seems to have stopped, but if anyone's had this problem and knows whats up, PLEASE let me know.

APERTURE 2 vs. ADOBE LIGHTROOM

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 17, 2008, 4:02 AM
Help me out...

So ive read a couple of reviews, and it got me thinking; whether to get Aperture 2 or Adobe Lightroom. A number of reviews recommended Adobe Lightroom because of its ease of use and it being generaly 'user-friendly'.

Ive been using Aperture for a couple of months now, and i am familiar with it, however i find its not the easiest to use. For example, i dont like the fact that you cant (or im just being ignorant :P) view an image at full size, you have to scale it with the annoying magnifying glass tool.

Ive looked at the adverts for Aperture 2 and i must say, it looks a lot better than the first. This may just be as it was the Apple website, and theyre showing of the best parts, but it does look rather good.

Ive never used Adobe Lightroom, but ive heard its quite good; alot of reviews are saying it IS better but not saying WHY its better thouhg =/
Im not sure really, i just want something easy to use, yet has all the basic tools to produce good images.

Im thinking Lightroom would be a better choice as im fluent with Photoshop and aparently it works brilliant with that, so it might be good having the 2 programs working together.

Anyone thats had experience with both/either, please advise! :D

It's just one after the other...

I decided that i actually need to get some more use out of my camera since i made such a big deal out of getting it :D
And i was previously telling myself i wasnt using it due to lack of interesting things to shoot, but i think it was just me being lazy :P

i have a couple of pictures im happy with -

I really like how Pachuca Sunrise turned out after editting, im experimenting more with Photoshop too.
I tried experimenting with this image, just using objects in my room that i thought would look goood:

Dont think it came out too badly but its a little boring, which is ironic considering the title haha.

...

But yeaah, my aim is to get more photo's up soon.
No idea what of yet, but i think il just keep experimenting :D

Colour Space II

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 17, 2008, 8:14 AM
It's just one after the other...

Well i gave up using Aperture to import my images, and im trying Image Capture, because i know that this application doesnt change the colour space unless you change the settings.

I imported one of my images and opened it in Preview, Tools > Inspector only to find that it was apparently both colour spaces, which has confused me totally.

On Inspector, it tells me that the colour space is Adobe RGB (1998) as shown below.

But, if i click EXIF Data in Inspector, it then tells that it is infact sRGB

So now im stumped!

Anyone that uses a Mac, please help me out! :D
